one of the earliest efforts in this direction was made by max müller. he wrote a booklet called “the sanskrit text of the yajurveda” (london, 1900), but later retracted it. the second book, published in 1914, is called “the yajurveda according to a newly found sanskrit manuscript”. it has a preface by max müller. the latest book is a reprint of the first, with a preface by karl potter. max müller says:
