sorry, i never had a gps watch, so the photos stayed in gps. however, many people use gps watches to store photos, now it is common. the main thing i do to use gps, i use the live photo gallery and use gps on the mobile phone. i save the photos from it and save it as a file, and then use gps photos to the photo file on my computer. this works fine. however, if you wish to take gps photos, you can use a gps app on your phone, or just save gps photos for yourself.
also, going to rate this 6/10. bottom line is the lack of phone notification sucks, and the widgets are limited at best. updates? any? the camera function is nice, but i wont use it too often. will not repurchase. avoid like the plague.

now, december, my watch is showing a warning due to the hr sensor is incorrectly formatted
it’s not registering anything. if i press start or stop or any button it will indicate hr is 15 but if i do any cycling or even stand still (as in sit on couch or step up and down a flight of stairs) and then turn the watch on again, it will show a heart rate of 0.
so! so for 7 months i have been happily using my fenix 3 hr. there is a big 10% difference (30 seconds per minute between the 2) using the fenix 3 and the fenix fh-r3 even though it’s the same watch sensor. this watch is 9 years old
the couple of times i tried to be smart and find out what was wrong and tried to fiddle with its settings (integrated hrm or not) the watch became unresponsive and my attempts to reset it resulted in an automatic reboot. for some reason the backup it had kept when it rebooted was gone. when i turned it back on the watch was fine.
I swim in a UK pool that is just a normal usual swimming pool. I dont use hot water or showers with the watch yet they seem to eventually all go the same way. If you could possibly speak to Garmin about it next time you have contact I would appreciate it, because we all know Garmin make mistakes with design and feedback can improve it. For example in a 935 + or 945 next generation I hope they will provide a better barometer/altimeter (faulty design of which has been known for years with the Fenix range), protecting both the OHR from cracking and allowing the devices to be used swimming without eventually failing. Any chance the product key will unlock the unit at a later date so I can upgrade to the SR? hello, I have the “cracked” 510 and your gps photo tagger. it is fixed, but after the replacement of the actual gps chip, my watch will not track any sat/GPS info. all I have on it is the HR sensor. this was fixed by replacing the actual gps chip and the battery, again by ekon. only problem was that they said it is not an easy fix, so they are asking me for another $150. I have called customer service yesterday to check about my phone payment and guess what, never got my news and no more payment either.
