What’s new in Trine 2: Complete Story:
- brought a lot of controversy for its reviews. The battle over whether a person should play through a game one play through over another was significant, as Trine could be considered by some to be a cultural moment where one play style and one play framework becomes important. The diversity of viewpoints from those who viewed the game in the “Complete Story” format was a culmination of many detailed discussions during 2 months. While many appreciated some of the depth that the experience had to offer, others felt that the play pattern of complete story presented a loss of some of the depth from play as-you-go. The whole game story is based on the Wander story in Trine, but the choice points that were present in the first piece will be completely absent here. Instead of dealing with actual choices in the advancement of the Wanderer, the player will instead be shown the different ways in which the story can be told. The structure of this story will be contained within the way Trine’s story is told on the base of the character’s story. Each character will have a different way in which the story can be told, and will be able to achieve a couple of different endings. It is you that must choose which direction your character will evolve.

The Way Trine 1 Wrote the Story, Trine 2 Has Redrawn the Picture
When Trine 1 first brought the player to a part of the Overworld, you were taken to a Main quest to understand it. While there were many more parts to the story that were not actually shown, the player was still deeply involved in the choices in which the characters you put forward. There was even a deeply felt moral aspect through the play as the player had to handle the decisions that were presented to them. These were choices that affected the story that you could not skip and the story was told by the player’s response.
The Trine 2 story is different. In Trine 1, the path of the story was rather simple and I somehow felt that the story was reaching some land of completeness while in Trine 2: Complete Story, it seems to be pushing for a different place. While the path in Trine 2 has been hinted at earlier, it is only now
