Now, it seems that pretty much nobody owns a Super Nintendo and that a surprising number of people never even got the SNES in the first place. I wonder what we’ll look back on as a more normal era of gaming; when it became so ubiquitous that we couldn’t imagine not having access to them, or when it became so affordable that every kid in the country had one on their Christmas list and a hundred other people were buying them as presents to themselves? I hope the latter. I remember thinking this way when I saw myself in the Add-On Disc of the SNES version of Ice Hockey. I had this game, and those other games, and the team at Zeboyd Interactive knew that they were exactly the type of games that most American 8-year-olds would have. I had a PS1 and a PS2 growing up, and I had the SNES, and I didn’t need any more. I knew exactly what kind of games I wanted, and I got them. Eskimo Bob was a console classic for a reason: it was and is a great game. I get the sense that some people seem to be picking it apart and writing articles about how it’s not really that good because the graphics are bad, when I feel that the opposite is true.
